Wednesday Night Bible Study

The King and His Kingdom – Part 4
Join us for Wednesday Bible Study Effingham IL at The Journey Church on October 28, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Pastor Steve Linton continues The King and His Kingdom, a six-part Bible study series exploring the Gospel of Matthew.
Throughout this series, we are looking at the identity of Jesus as the promised King, the message of His Kingdom, and what it means to follow Him faithfully in our everyday lives.
Continuing Through the Gospel of Matthew
In Part 1, “The King Has Come,” we began in Matthew 1–2 and examined Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah, Emmanuel—God with us—and the fulfillment of God’s promises.
In Part 2, “Prepare the Way,” we continued through Matthew 3–4, exploring repentance, the baptism of Jesus, our identity in Christ, and standing firm on the truth of God’s Word when facing temptation.
As we move into Part 4, Pastor Steve continues guiding us through the Gospel of Matthew, helping us better understand Jesus, His Kingdom, and what it means to live according to God’s Word.
Wednesday Bible Study Effingham IL – Discover His Kingdom
The Gospel of Matthew reveals more than the story of Jesus’ earthly ministry. It challenges us to recognize His authority, understand His teachings, and consider how our faith influences the decisions we make each day.
Following Jesus means more than simply knowing Scripture. It means allowing God’s Word to shape our hearts, our relationships, and the way we live.
Whether you have attended previous sessions or are joining us for the first time, you are welcome.
