Wednesday Night Bible Study
The King and His Kingdom – Part 3
Join us for Wednesday Bible Study Effingham IL at The Journey Church on October 21, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Pastor Steve Linton continues The King and His Kingdom, a six-part Bible study series exploring the Gospel of Matthew.
Throughout this series, we are looking at the identity of Jesus as the promised King, the message of His Kingdom, and what it means to follow Him faithfully in our everyday lives.
Continuing Through the Gospel of Matthew
In Part 1, “The King Has Come,” we began in Matthew 1–2 and examined Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah, Emmanuel—God with us—and the fulfillment of God’s promises.
In Part 2, “Prepare the Way,” we continued through Matthew 3–4, exploring repentance, the baptism of Jesus, our identity in Christ, and standing firm on the truth of God’s Word when facing temptation.
Now, in Part 3, Pastor Steve continues the journey through Matthew as we learn more about Jesus, His Kingdom, and the life He calls His followers to live.
Discover the King. Understand His Kingdom.
The Gospel of Matthew does more than tell us about the life of Jesus. It reveals the promised King and challenges us to consider what it truly means to belong to His Kingdom.
Whether you have been part of the series from the beginning or are joining us for the first time, you are welcome.
