The King and His Kingdom – Part 5

Join us for Wednesday Bible Study Effingham IL at The Journey Church on November 4, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Pastor Steve Linton continues The King and His Kingdom, a six-part Bible study series exploring the Gospel of Matthew.

Throughout this series, we are discovering Jesus as the promised King, exploring the message of His Kingdom, and learning what it means to follow Him faithfully in our everyday lives.

Continuing Our Journey Through Matthew

In Part 1, “The King Has Come,” Pastor Steve introduced Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah through Matthew 1–2, revealing how His birth fulfilled God’s promises and demonstrated His faithfulness.

Part 2, “Prepare the Way,” continued through Matthew 3–4, examining repentance, the baptism of Jesus, our identity in Christ, and the importance of standing firm against temptation through God’s Word.

As we gather for Part 5, we continue our journey through Matthew, seeking a deeper understanding of Jesus, His Kingdom, and the truth of Scripture.

Each study offers an opportunity to reflect on our relationship with Christ and consider how His teachings can influence our choices, relationships, and daily lives.
