We’ll meet in the fellowship hall for an afternoon filled with warmth\, connection\, and plenty of homemade soup! \nWhat to Bring\nWe’re inviting everyone to take part by signing up to bring their favorite soup\, side\, or dessert. Whether you have a go-to chili recipe\, a creamy potato soup\, or a hearty vegetable stew\, every dish adds to the flavor and fun of the day. We’ll also need a variety of desserts\, so bakers—your sweet treats are more than welcome! \nA sign-up sheet will be available at the church so you can write down what you’ll be bringing. This helps us plan for enough variety and makes sure everyone has plenty to enjoy. \nWhy We Gather\nThe Journey Church Sunday Soup Social isn’t just about the food—it’s about community. The Journey Church is collecting new backpacks and school supplies for children in grades K–12. \nYou can donate: \n\nNew backpacks\nSchool supplies (pencils\, highlighters\, pens\, erasers\, colored pencils\, glue bottles and sticks\, crayons\, washable markers\, expo dry erase markers\, folders\, wide rules paper\, wide rules notebooks\, rulers\, and of course backpacks of all sizes for all grades)\nMonetary donations (we’ll purchase the remaining items)\n\nAll donations are needed by Sunday\, July 28.Let’s work together to make sure every child starts the year equipped and encouraged!
